Due to a power outage, no trains are running around the Schiphol Airport. Services to Utrecht, Dordrecht, and Venlo have also been cancelled. The situation at Schiphol was described as chaotic by an RTL reporter present, as the disruptions are expected to last at least until 4:00 p.m.

The NS website shows no service between Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam-Zuid, meaning there are also no trains to Utrecht Centraal or Lelystad Centraal. Train traffic between Hoofddorp and Amsterdam Sloterdijk is also suspended, which also affects the Hoofddorp service. The impact also appears to be affecting the train services to Brussels, which are set to depart from Rotterdam instead of Schiphol.

“There is a power outage at Riekepolder,” a ProRail spokesperson told RTL. “That is a key junction, which is why the area currently without train service is so large.”

Separately, trains were also out of service between Rotterdam Centraal and Delft Campus due to a signal and rail switch problem. That cut off trains between Rotterdam and The Hague and Leiden.

The issue was not expected to be resolved until after 2 a.m. on Sunday. A bus replacement was running between Delft, Schiedam Centrum, and Rotterdam Centraal, the NS said.
